This security deposit covers potential road traffic fines (such as speed camera violations and parking tickets) as well as minor vehicle damages during your rental period. By keeping this deposit low, we ensure that your travel budget remains flexible, allowing you to fully enjoy your trip across Mauritius without unnecessary financial holds. If no fines or damages occur, the full deposit will be refunded within 14-28 days after the vehicle is returned. This timeframe allows us to verify with local authorities that no outstanding charges exist. However, banks may take an additional 7-14 days to complete the refund process. For local customers, refunds are typically processed within 1-2 working days.
How much do I need to pay to confirm a booking?
To secure your rental, you must pay 50% of the rental fees or opt to pay the full amount (100%) at the time of reservation. Additionally, a payment link for the refundable minor damage deposit must be settled via online payment at least one day before receiving the vehicle.
Are there any additional charges beyond the rental price?
You only pay for the rental fees, selected add-ons, and the refundable security damage & fines deposit. Full pricing details will be included in the confirmation email sent by our agents after booking your vehicle on our website.
Can I request a baby car seat?
Yes, baby car seats are available as an optional add-on. While booking your car on our website, select your travel dates, and you will see all available extras, including baby seats, along with their pricing.
What does “or similar” mean when selecting a car?
When booking a rental car, the term “or similar” means that while the exact make, model, and color of the car shown may not be available, you will receive a vehicle from the same category. This ensures that the car you get will have comparable specifications, such as passenger capacity, luggage space, transmission type, and key features. For example, if you book a “Toyota Corolla or similar,” you might receive a Honda Civic or a Ford Focus—cars with similar performance and comfort levels. This allows us to maintain availability while ensuring you receive a vehicle that meets your needs.
How far in advance can I modify my booking?
You can modify your reservation up to 72 hours before your scheduled rental start date. Changes can be made directly through your online account, and any cost adjustments will depend on current rates and vehicle availability at the time of modification.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel your booking at least 72 hours before delivery, we will issue a full refund of your rental deposit or 100% of the rental fees (if you paid the full amount upfront). For cancellations made less than 72 hours before delivery, we will retain 50% of the rental fees and refund the remaining 50% (if you paid the full rental amount in advance). Regardless of the cancellation timing, the minor damage deposit will always be refunded in full.

What happens if I forget my voucher?
